1. Prepare your rider profile
Choose a rider name, avatar and colour. These visual cues help identify riders in the room, on the group map and in the convoy position indicator.
2. Create a private ride
Open Create a ride, select Private and enter a ride name. Private rides remain intentionally simple and unlimited. Share the generated four-character code or link with your group.
3. Create a public ride
Select Public at the top of the creation card. You can add a short description, select Relaxed, Discovery or Dynamic, or choose Other and type a custom ride style. Capacity can stay unlimited or be set manually from 2 to 50 riders.
4. Find a public ride nearby
Open Find a ride and choose a search radius. Results are ordered by distance and show the useful public profile information. The Map button shows only an approximate privacy area, not an exact rider position.
5. Join and admission
Private rooms use the room code. Public rides use a join request. Riders already in the room vote; acceptance requires the configured majority. A full public ride cannot admit another rider until a place becomes available.
6. Host controls
The host can edit the public ride profile from Settings, transfer the host role and set a meeting point. The host can also open a rider’s action menu and remove that rider after confirmation.
7. Audio and individual volume
VocAll uses the Android audio device available to the phone. Tap another rider to adjust only that rider’s playback volume. Muting your microphone stops transmitting your voice.
8. Group map and meeting point
Location sharing is optional. When enabled, riders can appear on the room map. The host can set one precise meeting point for admitted members and any rider can launch a compatible navigation app toward it.
9. Alerts
Use the alert panel for fuel, break, problem, danger or your custom alert. Received alerts remain visible until acknowledged so they are not missed while riding.
10. End-of-ride summary
Leaving the room can display a local summary with duration, riders encountered, sent/received alerts, meeting point use and cumulative distance if GPS was active. Detailed GPS positions are not stored as a trip history.
11. Reconnection
If the network changes or briefly disappears, keep VocAll running. It attempts to reconnect to the room automatically. The host role can also be recovered or handed off so the room does not depend on one original creator forever.
